I believe in the power of words
A power so absurd, the church, the politicians,
the teachers all learned
how to wield it so they could steal
your thoughts, your mind, and your heart
I believe its time to start
taking it back, thinking for yourself,
taking drastic actions
making life the vision that you see,
bring to life the world that you conceive
it starts with these…
words devoid of meaning in the world outside our heads
but we cleave to them expect that they will bring us salvation
but these words won’t save you,
nor will I,
the words I gave you come to life,
show you something you know
deep inside,
I’m a poet, and you are too…
